Counting Down The Omer! Counting of the Omer begins April 20, 2011 (Starts sundown April 19) Pentecost/Shavuot June 8, 2011 (Starts sundown June 7) Leviticus 23:15-21 (15) And ye shall number to yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, (High Sabbath) from the day on which ye shall offer the sheaf of the Wave Offering, "Seven Full Weeks:" (16) until the "Morrow After The Last Week" ye shall number "Fifty days," and shall bring a New Meal-Offering to YAHUVEH. (17) Ye shall bring out of your habitations Two Wave Loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the Firstfruits unto YAHUVEH. (18) And ye shall Offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto YHWH, with their meal offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto YAHUVEH. (19) Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. (20) And the Priest shall "Wave Them" with the Bread of the Firstfruits for a "Wave Offering" before YAHUVEH, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to YAHUVEH for the Priest. (21) And ye shall call this day a convocation: it shall be holy to you; ye shall do no servile work on it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations in all your habitations. Acts 1:4-5 And, being assembled together with them, [YAHUSHUA] commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Pentecost is the day when Moses was given the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. If you want a greater anointing, then meet YAHUSHUA in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost! Read the Book of Acts to get the total picture behind the meaning of Pentecost. |
